While Supplies Last!

Have you been to see the wonderful folks down at On Track in Burbank yet?  They are offering a great deal on their inventory of Asics Hyper MD shoes.  This is a good all around spike shoe for every member of the team needing spikes.  Note:  Gremlins are not eligible to wear spikes… Bantam and above only.

I spoke with Dana just the other day and they have a limited inventory of shoes available.  It is highly recommended that you call (800) 697-2999 in advance of a trip to their shop.

Frequently Asked Questions

When do the Falcons Practice?
During the month of March we practice Wednesdays, Thursdays from 6:00.m. until 7:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.  Towards the end of March, we no longer practice on Saturdays as our Track Meets will be on those days.  Towards the end of April, we add a Monday night practice for Field Events and Relay Races.

Where do the Falcons Practice?
We practice at Crescenta Valley High School in La Crescenta (on Ramsdell Ave. between Encinal Ave and Altura Ave.)

When and Where are the Track Meets?
We will have a “practice meet” on March 21st to help both athletes and parents get ready for the official season.  The first track meet of the 2009 Season be on March 28th. The meets are mostly on Saturdays, though there are some meets on Sundays as well.  The meets are held at a variety of High Schools and Colleges around the San Fernando Valley.  We post links with driving directions on this site.  Keep and eye on the Calendar link at the top of this page to see important upcoming dates for the season.

How long do the Meets last?
Track Meets are a bigger commitment on time than practices as they are generally all day events, starting around 8:30 am and lasting as late as 3:00 or 4:00 p.m. (although our goal is to have the meets wrapped up by 1:30 or so).

How long does the season last?
The regular season ends with the Individual Event Championships (or I.E.C.) meet which will be held on May 30th, 2009.  For those families interested in continuing, there is a “Post Season” that starts after the I.E.C. meet.  You will hear more information about Post Season by the end of the regular season.
